This course includes a study of modulation to closely related keys, binary and ternary forms, less common chord progressions and part writing procedures, diatonic seventh chords, borrowed chords, secondary dominants and leading tone chords, and nondominant diminished seventh chords. Keyboard application of course work is integrated with class piano laboratory work. Harmony III is required for all music majors and taken concurrently with Aural Skills III.
