Appropriate testing and evaluation sessions are designed to assure proficiency of medical skills needed to provide prompt, adequate, medical care deemed necessary by the Department of the Army.

This course is designed to provide trauma management strategies unique to the military tactical combat environment. There are profound differences in managing traumatic casualties on the battlefield. These differences include, but are not limited to, variable evacuation times and platforms, limited medical resources, hostile austere environments, limited visibility, variable provider experience level, and the tactical situation itself. The TC3 course is designed to achieve three (3) goals simultaneously, they are: treat the casualty with minimal disruption of current tactical mission, prevention of further casualties, and completing the tactical mission.
