Directed independent study is a structured learning experience offered as an extension of the regular curriculum. It is intended to allow students to broaden their comprehension of the principles of, and their grasp of competencies associated with multimedia technologies within vocational disciplines. Its purpose is to supplement existing courses with individualized, indepth learning experiences. Such learning experiences may be undertaken independent of the traditional classroom setting, but will be appropriately directed and supervised by regular instructional staff. A subject/topic associated with graphic design, selected by student in consultation with the instructor, and to be researched extensively by reading and completing assignments, etc. (as detailed in the Independent Study Contract).
