IETTI 103: Introduction to Microcomputers

The learner will study the fundamentals of stand-alone computer systems and applications in the Industrial Electronics fi eld, and will learn to install, cnfi gure and maintain Windows 9.x, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. Current media technologies will be applied to specifi ed settings. Network-based communications will be investigated. Disaster recovery techniques will be applied to specifi ed situations. The course will provide basic competence in supporting microcomputers. Effective communicationstechniques will be used in all jobrelatedsituations. Pre-requisite: MTHPT 103 Pre/Co-requisite: IETTI 101 or permission of the instructor.
