SOCI 284: Sociology of Sex & Gender

An exploration of the socially constructed category of gender and its relationship to the biological category of sex. The social, cultural and political implications of gender in society are discussed. A wide range of topics are covered from gender, sexual identify and intimacy to broader issues of social change, such as gender equality and the politics of sex.
