Corequisite: MCT 112 This course covers the theory, operation and repair of electrical systems and components on modern motorcycles. Upon completion, the student should be able to diagnose service, rebuild and adjust the components of various motorcycle electrical and accessory systems.

Corequisite: MCT 112 This course covers the theory, operation, and repair of fuel tanks, petcocks, carburetor and fuel injection systems on modern motorcycles. Upon completion, the student should be able to service, rebuild and adjust the components of various motorcycle fuel systems.

Corequisite: MCT 112 This course covers maintenance, adjustment, and repair of motorcycle chassis systems. Topics include: brakes, front and rear suspensions, and wheels. Upon completion the student should be able to diagnose, service, and repair motorcycle chassis and suspension systems.

The objectives of the course include professional customer interaction/service, current knowledge of manufacturer and after-market products, and knowledge of the repair of motorcycles and utility vehicles. The topics covered in this course include commercial catalog systems, computer parts lists, inventory control, and proper selection and use of motorcycle parts and products. A motorcycle related business plan will be required.

This course provides instruction in procedures and practices necessary for the safe operation of motorcycle repair facilities. Topics include: work facility safety, work facility cleanliness, safety devices, environmental safety, fire prevention, and personal safety.

This course serves as an introduction to the field of professional motorcycle service. Topics include: advanced shop and tool techniques, preventative maintenance, adjustments and minor repairs. Upon completion, students should be able to perform basic inspection and service of motorcycles and ATVs.

Corequisite: MCT 112 This course will guide the student through a logical sequence of diagnostic checks that will permit fast and accurate identification of problems in all the previously covered systems as well as charging and starting systems. Special tools and diagnostic equipment will be evaluated and used to demonstrate the various options for shop repair. A working knowledge of Internal Combustion Theory will be taught during this course.

Corequisite: MCT 112 This course covers procedures for efficient and accurate diagnosis of complaints in the mechanical, electrical, and fuel systems of the motorcycle. Emphasis is placed on developing logical procedures for diagnosis. Upon completion the student should be able to perform accurate diagnosis of various motorcycle systems.

Prerequisite: Instructor Approval The internship course provides the student with opportunities for application and reinforcement of motorcycle maintenance, service, and employability principles in an actual job setting. It acquaints the student with work situations and provides insights into the work environment.

4.00 Credits
Introduces basic concepts and practices necessary for safe and effective marine shop operation. Topics include: shop and boating safety procedures, CPR, first aid, EPA regulations, hand tools, power tools, fasteners, boat trailers, and customer relations.
