Provides opportunities for students to develop skill in the use of bench grinders and lathes. Topics include: lathes, lathe calculations, lathe setup and operations, lathe tooling, and safety.

Prerequisite: MCH 109 Provides further instruction for students to develop skill in the use of lathes. Topics include: safety, advanced lathe setup, internal lathe cutting operations, mating parts manufacturing, and advanced cutting tools.

Provides instruction in the setup, operations, maintenance, and assembly operations of surface grinders. Topics include: safety, surface grinders and surface grinder maintenance, surface grinder setup, and surface grinder operations.

Prerequisite: MCH 104 or MAT 103 for diploma award or MAT 191 for degree award Continues the development of blueprint reading competencies as applied to Machine Tool Technology. Topics include: advanced sectioning, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and assembly drawings.

Provides instruction in the setup and use of the milling machine. Topics include: milling machines, milling machine setup, and milling machine operations, and safety.

Prerequisite: MCH 115 Provides further instruction for students to develop skills in the use of milling machines. Topics include: advanced mill calculations, advanced mill setups, and advanced mill operations, and safety.

Prerequisite: MCH 110, MCH 112, MCH 116 Provides for student work experience in an occupational environment. Topics include: work skills development and personal skills development. Students will be under the supervision of the Machine Tool Technology program faculty and/or persons designated to coordinate work experience.

Provides an opportunity to perform creative and critical thinking skills needed to fabricate, modify, and maintain complex machine assemblies. Emphasis is placed on bench work, lathe, mill, and grinder operations; tool selection; and sequencing fabrication operations. Topics include: job planning, preparation for machining operations, and machining operations.

Corequisite: MCT 110 This course serves as an introduction to the program and field of professional motorcycle service. Topics include: the operation, construction, design, testing, maintenance, and repair of motorcycle and ATV systems and components. Course includes lectures, text, videos, and lab experience.

7.00 Credits
Corequisite: MCT 112 This course covers 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines; their transmissions and final drive systems. It also provides an overview of the exhaust and lubrication systems. Successful completion of this course will allow the student to disassemble, inspect, reassemble and operationally test motorcycle engines and drive trains.
