Topics include: available lighting, artificial lighting, mixed lighting, use of filters, metering techniques, camera and lens selection, and location photography safety techniques.

Prerequisite: SCT 100 Introduces the photographic processes which use digital technology. Topics include: photo digital technology history, digital processes in today's photography market, personal computer basics, introductory Photoshop software, and manipulation of digital photos into print formats.

Prerequisite: CPH 141 Provides instruction in the operational practices and procedures of electronic video equipment and a photo lab. Emphasizes relationship between linear and digital processes, the operation and maintenance of equipment. Topics include: photo lab processes, advanced laboratory techniques, automated equipment, formulating objectives, outlines, scripts, storyboards, titles, sound, programming, audience analysis, production planning, presentation, and transparency production.

Examines the emergence, progress, and problems of the Criminal Justice system in the United States. Topics include: the American Criminal Justice systems; constitutional limitations; organization of enforcement, adjudication, corrections; and career opportunities and requirements.

Provides an overview of all phases of the American correctional system and practices, including its history, procedures, and objectives. Topics include: history and evolution of correctional facilities; legal and administrative problems; institutional facilities and procedures; probation, parole, and prerelease programs; alternative sentencing; rehabilitation; community involvement; and staffing.

Examines the principles of organization and administration and the duties of local and state law enforcement agencies with emphasis on police departments. Topics include: history and philosophy of law enforcement, evaluation of administrative practices, problems in American law enforcement agencies, emerging concepts, professionalism, and community crime prevention programs.

Prerequisite: CRJ 101 Introduces the substantive law of major crimes against persons and property. Attention is given to observation of courtroom trials. Topics include: laws of arrest and search and seizures; procedures governing arrest, trial and administration of criminal sanctions; rules of evidence; general court procedures; rights and duties of officers and citizens; and Supreme Court rulings that apply to Criminal Justice/overview of Constitutional Law.

Presents the fundamental principles of criminal investigation. Emphasis is placed on legal requirements stated in Georgia Criminal Law, definition of felony crimes stated in the Georgia Code and fundamentals of: investigative procedures, crime scene searches, identification and collection of evidence, note-taking and report writing, surveillance, identification of witnesses and suspects, interview and interrogation, and preparation and presentation of evidence in court. Topics include: Georgia Criminal Law, common investigation techniques, and procedures used for investigating various crimes.

Prerequisite: CRJ 162 This course presents students with practical exercises dealing with investigations and gathering of evidence. Emphasis is placed on crime scene search, fingerprinting, cast molding, and practical exercises. Topics include: crime scene management, specialized investigation techniques, and homicide and suicide investigation.
