Prerequisite: MUSI 2222, EDUC 2110, acceptance into Teacher Education Program. The development of specific teaching skills, techniques and materials to support the role of band director and instrumental music teacher. The course prepares prospective instrumental track music specialists for all aspects of the role including curriculum design, rehearsal proce dures, methodologies and the study of appro priate band literature. Field component, peer teaching and laboratory conducting are required. This course is a requirement for all instrumental music education majors.
