Topics include: multiview working drawing, tolerances, precision measure ment and precision dimensioning practices, quality con trol, use of standard parts, and reference source utilization.

(Prerequisites: DDS 226, MAT 104) Emphasizes calcula tion, specification development, and drawing of gear and cam systems to produce desired results. Topics include: reference utilization, solution for two unknowns, standard gear applications, standard cam applications, and gear ratios.

(Pre/Corequisites: DDS 229) Emphasizes familiarization with and utilization of common linkage types. Students apply linkage concepts to specific problems. Topics in clude: direct linkages, multi-linkages, standardized gear boxes, and fundamental robotic concepts.

(Pre/Corequisite: DDS 230) Provides opportunities for design utilization of multiple power transmission methodology. Topics include: belts and pulleys, clutches and brakes, sprockets and chains, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

(Prerequisite: DDF 111, DDF 112) Develops knowledge and skills required for structural steel detailing and con nections design utilized for commercial construction in an actual job placement or practicum experience. Topics include: office practices; steel shapes; beam reactions; framed connections; seated connections; columns, base plates, and splices; use of proper interpersonal skills; and adaptability to the job setting.

(Prerequisite: DDS 208, DOS 209 or DDS 241) Intro duces commercial drawing skills necessary to produce construction drawings given floor plan information in an actual job setting or practicum experience. Topics include: structural steel detailing; reflected ceiling plans; rebar detailing; commercial construction drawings; use of proper interpersonal skills; and adaptability to the job setting.

Topics include: medical terminology as it relates to the normal human body; and normal struc ture and function of the human body - cells and tissues, organs and systems, and homeostatic mechanisms.

(Prerequisite: DEN 101) Focuses on normal head and neck anatomy. Topics include: osteology of the skill, muscles of mastication and facial expression, temporal mandibular joint, blood lymphatic and nerve supply of the head, and salivary glands and related structures.

(Pre/Corequisite: DEN 106, DEN 134) Provides students with theory and clinical experience in die area of preventive and public health dentistry. Topics include: etiology of dental disease, patient education techniques, plaque control tech niques, types and use of fluoride, diet analysis for caries con trol, and dietary considerations for the dental patient.
