(9 Credits) Review of principles and concepts learned previously in NUR 2260C. Includes major health problems, with emphasis on preventative, curative and rehabilitative aspects of adult healthcare. The course explores the nurses role in using concept mapping, critical thinking skills, and leadership skills. Lab Fee. Prerequisite: NUR 2260C and permission of Director of Nursing Programs.

(5 credits) SP Minicourse of eight weeks duration. Study of growth of children from infancy through adolescence with emphasis on response to disease and other stress conditions. Lab fee. Prerequisite: NUR 2260C or NUR 2263C with a C or better. Corequisite: NUR 2420C.

(8 credits) This course emphasizes a broad, in-depth application of the nursing process as an approach to assisting women, children, and families in meeting their advanced reproductive needs in a variety of settings. The roles of the nurse as a provider of care, communicator, teacher, manager and member of the profession provide the framework for clinical application and evaluation. Study includes advanced study of reproduction, pregnancy, with an emphasis on labor and delivery and complications of pregnancy and childbirth. Growth of children from birth through adolescence is covered, with emphasis on response to disease and other stress conditions. Lab Fee. Prerequisite: NUR 2260C .

(5 credits) SP Mini course of eight weeks duration. Study of reproductive aspects of life as they affect the entire family. Develop principles underlying nursing during normal maternity cycle. Lab fee. Prerequisite: NUR 2260C. Corequisite: NUR 2310C.

(3 credits) Students will learn basic botany, soil types, and the interaction among soil, water, and plant growth.

(3 credits) Students will be able to sharpen their skills and take on the roles of a mock irrigation business as a salesman, designer, job superintendent, foreman, and laborer, and apply skills in a working environment in and around campus. Students will also learn to deal with problems that occur in the fi eld and make necessary adjustments to remedy them. Students will also be able to deal with dissatisfi ed clients and general contractors then learn viable solutions to remedy them. Prerequisite: ORH 1303C.

(3 credits) Students will learn a brief history of irrigation and the fi ve Florida regions of water management, and be exposed to the basic components of agriculture, large turf, golf, commercial, and residential irrigation systems.

(3 credits) Students will learn job preparation and installation and servicing techniques for two and three-man crews involved in residential and commercial irrigation systems.

(3 credits) Students will learn about installation techniques for microirrigation, nursery applications, large turf, and golf courses. Students will be exposed to technical renovation procedures and remedies that occur in the fi eld. Students will learn advanced irrigation equipment and tools and how to apply them in the workplace. Prerequisite: ORH 1302C.

(3 credits) Students will learn space utilization for work trucks and shops, gain a working knowledge of basic computers pertaining to irrigation, and learn basic management information.
