(1 credit, 3 Lab hours weekly) GE Study of microbial staining techniques, isolation methods, microbial identifi cation, genetic engineering, and aseptic techniques. Lab Fee. Prerequisites: Completion of BSC 2010C, BSC 2085, BSC 2085L or BOT 2010 or ZOO 2010. Corequisite: MCB 2010.

(3 credits) An elementary study of the fundamentals of atmospheric systems on global, hemispheric, and local geographic scales. The study of temperature, barometric pressure, relative humidity, dewpoint, windspeed, and direction will show how they interact to produce what we call our weather. Expertise will be derived to permit analysis and evaluation of these data to forecast each parameter with fair confi dence.

(3 credits) GE, GR Study includes: sets and Venn diagrams, systematic counting principles, permutations and combinations, probability, descriptive statistics, logic, geometry, measurements, and history of mathematics. Prerequisite: MAT 1033 with a grade of C or higher in or score out on an appropriate placement score.

(3 credits) GE, GR The study of numbers and number systems, elementary number theory, linear and quadratic relations, functions, graphs and their applications, exponential and logarithmic functions, fi nancial mathematics, and history of mathematics. Students will participate in collaborative investigations relating to the major topics of study. Prerequisite: MAT 1033 with a grade of C or higher.

(3 credits) as needed Usually presented as a business telecourse. Designed to provide aspiring salespeople, and those already in sales, with the tools they need to compete in the age of consultative selling. Students prepare a comprehensive sales presentation as fi nal project.

(180 contact hours, 6 occupational credits) This course prepares students for employment as phlebotomists. Phlebotomists obtain blood by venipuncture or skin puncture and are an integral part of the clinical laboratory. Lab fee. Liability insurance fee. Prerequisite: CPR and four hours AIDS in Florida instruction.
