(3 credits) SP This is an introductory pathology course. It will cover the etiology, diagnosis, and possible treatment of human diseases. The course organization will be based on the diseases of the body organ systems. In each section there will be an introduction to the anatomy and physiology, typical symptoms, and diagnostic tests associated with each body system. Prerequisite: PRN 0080 or BSC 2084 or BSC 2086 with lab with a C or better.

Prerequisite: REA 0002 and ENC 0020 with a grade of C or better or score out on placement test.

(3 credits) GE, GR, MC This course explores the mythology of Greece and Rome, Northern Europe, the Middle East, East Asia, Africa, indigenous America, etc., and provides a broad overview of the artworks, architecture, music, and literary works that they have inspired over the centuries. Prerequisite: REA 0002 and ENC 0020 with a grade of C or better or score out on placement test.

(3 credits) GE, GR, MC Travel to various locations out of the country in an examination of the nature of human culture and society through the styles of the arts and their place in infl uencing the host country's vision of itself and its future. Cultures will vary dependent on travel plans each semester. Must travel with group to receive credit for class. Can repeat travel to different country to satisfy both Humanities requirements. Subsequent trips to receive elective credit only. May be taken a maximum of four semesters for credit. Cost of trip separate from registration fee. Prerequisite: Completion of REA 0002 and ENC 0020 with a grade of C or better or score out on appropriate placement test.

Includes basic theory and techniques in art and music as basis for appreciation of man's cultural heritage. Prerequisite: REA 0002 and ENC 0020 with a grade of C or better or score out on appropriate placement test.

(3 credits) GE, GR, MC Study of development of man's creative efforts, emphasizing philosophy and religion. Introduction to philosophy through study of epistemology and ethics in classical philosophy. Introduction to major religions of the world and application of philosophy to religious concepts. Prerequisite: REA 0002 and ENC 0020 with a C or better or score out on appropriate placement test.

(3 credits) Option to fulfi ll research writing requirement under Gordon Rule. Student selects a topic or topics and writes a paper(s) to total 6,000 words under the supervision of an instructor assigned by the department. Prerequisite: REA 0002 and ENC 0020 with a grade of C or better or score out on appropriate placement test.

(3 credits) This course covers the methods of meeting physical needs of young children through nutrition and good health practices. Recognition of childhood diseases and care of the child with special needs.
