The potential for the occurrence of natural disasters, terrorist activity, violent students and shootings on school property significantly increase the burden of responsibility to keep students and faculty safe. This course encompasses crisis preparedness resources that will enable administrators to manage school emergencies. Movies exaggerate and oversimplify, but they can still be compelling case studies for the traits and actions they portray. This course uses a dozen classic movies, readily available for rental or purchase, as the material for the study of leadership issues.
