Clinical application and refinement of pre-clinical instrumentation skills and procedures with emphasis on entry-level dental hygiene services. Medical/dental health surveys, data collection, patient assessment, vital signs, treatment planning, appointment control, preventive oral prophylactic procedures, oral hygiene education, asepsis standards, and optimum oral maintenance therapy are clinical competencies cultivated through supervised practice.
