OL 450: Building Successful Organizations Through Strategic Decision-Making Capstone Course

What often distinguishes one organization from another is its strategy in terms of both vision and execution. This course presents the strategy making process and asks students to apply it throughout the course. First, as part of a team, students participate in a computer simulation in which they actually chart the course of a company. Second, throughout the course, students identify a company of their choice to follow through the strategy making process and perform an evaluation of its effectiveness in managing company operations. By the end of the course, students not only are able to identify the key elements of organizational strategy but also experience the challenges of effectively designing and executing strategic decisions. Prerequisites: All core required courses in the program must be completed. Every Year, All Courses offered as needed
