1 Credit Addresses routine knowledge and information required by the Professional Household Health Assistant in attending the home-care patient. It is designed to provide information in support of the family and healthcare providers' directions in client selfadministered medication in the home setting. It is not designed to teach administration techniques, calculations, or dispensing of drugs to the client in the home, but rather the support skills required in assisted facilitation of self-medication, storage of medications, and trained observation of the patient with monitoring/documentation of patient selfadministered medications.
