Prerequisite: None. Advisory: CAT-3 and CAT-51. Limitation on enrollment: Computer Applications and Office Technology majors and certificate students. In cooperation with private or public sector employers, the internship is supervised employment of students that extends classroom learning to the job site and relates to the students' educational or occupational goal. The internship class is for students who have declared a Computer Applications and Office Technology major, have taken classes in the major, and are ready for on-the-job experience in a paid or unpaid position. Students will acquire new knowledge, skills, and abilities to prepare for a career in their chosen field. Placement is arranged through the instructor and with student assistance. Internship participation requirements may vary with the job setting. May be taken up to four times for a maximum of twelve units of credit. 27 hours lecture and a minimum of 90 hours internship.
