Prerequisite: Psych 21 or 121; and CHDV 10, 13A, 15, 120. A study of the methods and principles of supervising adults in early childhood/ child development programs. Emphasis is on the role of experienced classroom teachers who function as mentors/supervisors to new teachers while simultaneously addressing the needs of children, parents and other staff members. Upon completion of this class, students may be eligible to apply to participate in the Early Childhood Mentor Teacher Program. Total of 54 hours lecture.
