Laboratory practice includes proper set up and use of digital storage oscilloscopes, scan tools, engine analyzer, four and five-gas emission analyzers, and dynamometer. Total of 54 hours lecture and 108 hours laboratory.

Theories and fundamentals of the automobile's major operating systems including: four-cycle internal combustion engine, ignition, fuel, transmission, driveline, chassis, suspension, brakes, heating and air conditioning.
