    Formerly: DRAM 8 A comparative study examining the important post-modern American performance movements from the 1950's to the present day examining the specific cultural traditions of these unique performances. Focus will concentrate on the performance artists and major influences of African Americans, Asian Americans, Native Americans, European Americans, and Chicano/Latino Americans. Advisory: Not open to students with credit in DRAM 8. Four hours lecture, one hour laboratory.

    Formerly: DRAM 80 Introduction to fundamental concepts and techniques of mixing boards, amplifiers, microphones, signal processors and their application to both live and studio sound reinforcement. Basic introduction to computer based recording with Digidesign's Pro Tools . Microphone placement, physics of sound as it relates to recording, sound reinforcement and studio setup techniques. Advisory: Not open to students with credit in MUS 80 or MUS 80A or DRAM 80. Two hours lecture, two hours lecture-laboratory, three hours laboratory. GE Area: Non-GE Applicable

All costs are borne by the student. Advisory: Pass/No Pass. Repeatability: Any combination of THTR 85, 85X, 85Y, 85Z may be taken for up to 24 units of credit One-half hour lecture, one hour lecture-laboratory for each unit of credit. GE Area: Non-GE Applicable

Students will experience the public performance of several plays presented within a demanding schedule. Repeatability: Any combination of THTR 95 & 95X may be taken a maximum of six times for credit. Twelve hours laboratory for each three units of credit. GE Area: Non-GE Applicable
