    Training in team leading skills necessary for assisting a member in the Pass the Torch Program, including study skills, college policies, professionalism, ethics and role modeling of successful student behavior. Techniques of subject-specific tutoring skills, with attention given to diverse learning styles. Practice of these skills through sample student works and, when applicable, content-specific suggestions from the member's instructor. Prerequisites: An earned "A" or "B+" grade with instructor recommendation in one of the following courses: ESL 25, 26; ENGL 100, 110, 1A, 1B; student must currently be a team leader for a Pass the Torch study team. Repeatability: May be taken three times for credit. One hour lecture. GE Area: Non-GE Applicable
