Instruction includes automotive spray, painting, welding, detailing, customizing, paints, tools, equipment, welding, preparation of surfaces, suspension systems, frame straightening, body filler materials, alignment, adjusting, and fitting panels, fenders, doors, hoods and lids, glass service and replacement, and estimating cost and work time for repair and refinishing of collision and paint damage. The study and practice of skills and knowledge required for entry level employment as a journeyperson in the bricklaying trade. Instruction includes occupational safety, health hazards, first aid, CPR, blueprint reading, use of basic drawings, hand tools, power tools and equipment, materials, supplies, calculations, simple equations, mixing ratios, wall construction, piers, fireplaces, arches, paging and stonework using brick, blocks and other materials.

The practice in the trade of plastering as required by the apprenticeship program established by the local joint apprenticeship committee and approved by the Division of Apprenticeship Standards Department of Industrial Relations, State of California. Related instruction includes: safety, mathematics, hand tools, equipment, materials, mixing, applying plaster, blueprint reading, bases, fireproofing, problems and repairs, exterior insulation finish systems (EIFS) and finishes.
