Basic instruction in all varieties of stage movement including dance, mime, stage combat (hand-to-hand and weapons), t'ai chi and creative movement. Scene study and character work. Covers reading, discussion, and interpretation of plays, films, radio and television in both the comic and serious genre. Materials will be drawn from both modern and historical scripts, as well as from all parts of the world. Emphasis on how to read a play and understand its unique structure.
