    Theories and dynamics of normal and abnormal personality development. The study of frustration, threat, and conflict, and the reactions to stress through defense mechanisms and coping behavior. Failures of adjustment in the form of neurosis, psychosis, psychosomatic disorders, and character disorders are studied, and consideration is given to the basic methods of psychotherapy and behavior therapy.     Basic principles of learning theory and their application to behavioral change introduced. Operant conditioning, techniques based upon operant conditioning, classical conditioning, techniques based upon the classical conditioning model, observational learning, and techniques based upon observational learning are included.     Statistics as applied to the behavioral and social sciences. Emphasizes research design, the organization of data, measures of central tendency and variability, the normal curve, correlation and regression, hypothesis testing, parametric and nonparametric techniques, and one-way and two-way analysis of variance.     An introduction to social gerontology. Students from a variety of disciplines who work with the elderly or who have a special interest in the aging process will benefit from this course. Topics include historical and cross-cultural perspectives on aging; theories of aging; the biological, psychological, and social aspects of aging; current social and public policies; availability, delivery and use of services for the elderly; death, dying and bereavement and successful aging.     Supervised clinical experiences are provided to perfect skills in advanced radiographic procedures. Case studies of radiographic procedures discussing anatomy, pathology, positioning and technical factors of image quality are analyzed on a caseby- case basis. Correlated with RADT B2c.     Fundamental concepts of radiobiology including biological effects on living cells and organ systems, radiation quantities and units, radiation monitoring, ALARA concepts and radiation protection for occupational and non-occupational populations.
