    Students learn the skill of operating transcribing machines and develop skill in keying documents while listening to dictated material. Practice in transcribing letters, memoranda, and other business correspondence is stressed. Emphasizes English usage, punctuation, spelling/word usage, and proper document formatting when transcribing data. Prerequisites: BSAD B252c with a grade of C or equivalent and BSAD B85 or B285 or equivalent. Hours: 30 hours individualized instruction in a supervised lab. Open entry/open exit. Offered: F, S.     Basic English grammar course focusing on nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, conjunctions, and prepositions.
