This course provides the student with a basic overview and development of computer techniques required for the production of 2-dimensional animation. Topics covered are traditional methods, timing, spacing, keyframes, emotion, weight, and mood to communicate story or message. Prior to enrolling, students must attend a scheduled orientation. The Work Experience program provides supervised employment extending classroom-based learning to an on-thejob learning situation. Instructional materials fee required for this course and must be paid at registration. A broad-based introduction to the multiple elements of commercial illustration using microcomputers. This course is designed to provide a basic foundation in the use of computer techniques including color paint and draw programs for the production of commercial illustrations, logos, brochures, etc. Included within the course are the use of video input, slide image transfer, gray scale scanners and color graphic printers, special graphictext processing, and output production devices such as laser and thermal image printers.
