Essay writing, writing as a communicative and solitary process, and the skills necessary to manage the writing interaction will be emphasized. Acceptable for credit: CSU Designed to help students sharpen their conversational skills in Spanish by increasing their vocabularies and perfecting grammatical structures learned in Spanish 101. Includes an introduction to some aspects of the culture of the Spanish-speaking world. The Spanish 120-121 sequence is equivalent to Spanish 101. Acceptable for credit: CSU, UC An introduction to Hispanic literature as translated into English focusing on the themes and symbols characteristic of such literature.
