Essay writing, writing as a communicative and solitary process, and the skills necessary to manage the writing interaction will be emphasized. Includes an introduction to some aspects of the culture of the Spanish-speaking world. The Spanish 120-121 sequence is equivalent to Spanish 101. Acceptable for credit: CSU, UC An introduction to Hispanic literature as translated into English focusing on the themes and symbols characteristic of such literature.
