The definition, physical assessment, etiology, diagnostic tests, signs and symptoms, medical and surgical treatment and nursing care are covered according to the endocrine, cardiovascular, hematopoietic and lymphatic, respiratory, musculoskeletal, and neurological systems. The concepts and skills from Basic Nursing, Nutrition, and Pharmacology are integrated into this course as related to the nursing care of the adult. (Prerequisites listed on next page.) The definition, methods of determining diagnosis, signs and symptoms, medical and surgical treatment, and nursing care are covered according to pediatricrelated illnesses.
