Technical English Composition emphasizes developing the student's ability to write clear, concise, and well-developed expository prose through having the student read and discuss current magazine and newspaper articles relating to problems and issues of the workplace and then write his/her own essays simulating the styles and types of writing required on-the-job. The student researches a current issue that relates to workers and their environment and prepares a formal research paper. The student must pass the exit mastery examination and earn a minimum of "C" to advance to a higher-levelcomposition course. Prerequisites: 19 ACT or "C" or higher in CP 0903.
