AJS 110: Defensive Tactics

Prerequisite(s): Student must pass pre-admission physical test, and must be enrolled in a certified police academy or is a sworn peace officer. The focus of attention in this course will be the use of basic techniques. Each technique demonstrated by the instructor will have a variety of uses. All techniques will be designed to incapacitate the object of focus as quickly and professionally as possible. The importance of documentation followed by court testimony techniques will be strictly emphasized throughout the entire course. 1 hour lecture, 3 hours laboratory.
