3 Credits (3 Lectures) Writing/critical inquiry regarding principles of mental health applicable to human behavior and everyday social interaction; gathering, interpreting, and evaluating information; class discussion of alternative points of view; careful introspection; developing fair-minded and empathic understanding of "self", "other", and curresocial issues; and awareness of assumptions and unexamined ideas about human behavior. Prerequisites: ENG 101 and RDG094. Corequisite: ENG102.

2 Credits (2 Lectures) This course introduces the students to the field of radiology, the healthcare system and the Radiologic Technology program. Content also includes an introduction to terminology, ethics, patient care, radiation protection, radiographic exposure and basic positioning of the chest/abdomen. Prerequisites: HCC100, HCC111, HCC116 and must meet Radiologic Technology Program criteria.

3 Credits (2 Lectures, 3 Labs) An introduction to radiographic positioning and review of human structure and function. Lectures/laboratory covers anatomy, physiology and the fundamentals of radiographic positioning for the upper and lower extremities, shoulder girdle, chest, pelvis, pelvic girdle, abdomen, and basic mobile radiography. Prerequisite: Limited to Radiologic Technology cohort.

3 Credits (3 Lectures) This course provides an introduction to the fundamentals factors of film-screen image production, processing, film imaging with related accessories and image analysis. Prerequisite: Limited to Radiologic Technology cohort.

Infection control measures; routine/emergency patient care procedures; patient safety; assessment; radiologic technologist/patient communications and patient care devices are presented.
