This is a laboratory study to accompany Principles of Biology including scientific method, pH, microscope, and dissection of plants and animals. Prerequisite or concurrent enrollment in BIO 155, Principles of Biology. This course is designed for the non-science major. Two hours laboratory per week. A student will not receive credit toward graduation requirements for both BIO 104 and BIO 156. Designated professional studies course.

This course is a detailed study of the structure and function of the systems of the human body. This course is a hands-on detailed study of anatomical terminology, microscopic examination of tissues, detailed study of the skeletal, muscular and nervous systems and the senses. This course is a continuation of BIO 190 Anatomy and Physiology I (lecture). Emphasis will be placed on endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary and reproductive systems. In addition, metabolism, development, and inheritance are taught. Three hours lecture per week. Prerequisite: BIO 190 Anatomy and Physiology I (lecture) 3 hours; BIO 191 Anatomy and Physiology I (lab) 1 hour; Prerequisite or co-requisite: BIO 199 Anatomy and Physiology II (lab) 1 hour. Designated professional studies.

This course is a continuation of BIO 191 Anatomy and Physiology I Laboratory 1 hour. Emphasis will be placed on endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary and reproductive systems. Animal dissection is required. Two laboratory hours per week. Prerequisite: BIO 190, BIO 191; pre or co-requisite: BIO 198. Designated professional studies.

The course focuses on the fundamental nature of bacteria and other microorganisms; their morphology, physiology, and relationship to disease. Course consists of three lecture hours per week.
