Topics include salon conduct, professional ethics, sanitation, nail structure, manicuring, pedicuring, nail disorders, and anatomy and physiology of the arm and hand. Upon completion, the student should be able to demonstrate professional conduct, recognize nail disorders and diseases, and identify the procedures for sanitation and nail care services. 3 Credits (3-0-0) This course covers a wide range of material about the Internet, from using the Internet to demonstrating how the Internet works, using different Internet protocols, programming on the Internet, the Internet technologies, infrastructure, security, and e-commerce. It introduces a variety of concepts and discusses in-depth the most significant aspects of Internet, such as the OSI model of networking. This course will help prepare for the CompTIA i-Net+ certification. Prerequisite: Basic computer skills.

6 Credits (6-0-0) This course covers how to use the administrative tools of a network operating system (Novell, Microsoft NT, etc.) to set up, manage and use basic network services, including file systems, network printing, and security. The course may be repeated for credit for each network operating system. Advanced topics may include how to oversee a complex networking environment, directory services, partitioning and replication, time synchronization strategies, system backup, and integrating other networks. Prerequisite: CIS 190 and CIS 156 or equivalent experience.
