Three hours. An exploration of the material culture of architectural style for interior design students utilizing lecture, directed reading, field study, and written analysis. The Tuscaloosa, Alabama, historical districts, the Alabama Black Belt towns of Demopolis and Greensboro, and the contrast of historic and modern in Florence, Alabama, will provide hands-on study of architectural history and style.
