3 credit hours Course content includes issues, intervention techniques, and service delivery models for infants, toddlers, and preschool children who are considered developmentally disabled or at risk. It also examines transdisciplinary approaches to Individual Family Service Plans, assessment and curriculum, transition, integration; and explores the developmental and functional approaches to instruction. Various service delivery systems and research findings are examined. Field experience is required. 3 credit hours Methods, materials and curriculum for planning and providing systematic language rich instruction and development activities to children from ages three to five in a variety of preschool settings. Focus is on individualized assessments, skill development, family involvement, center development, and appropriate use of technologies. Prerequisite: Admission to Educational Studies Program and completion of Edu 307, Edu 308, and Edu 309 or permission of instructor. ( as needed)
