ART AND ART HISTORY 494: Capstone Seminar in Art History

A seminar to be taken in the final year and required of art history majors. Students will propose and carry out their own research project while also meeting with other capstone students to present their work in process and also to provide written and oral feedback to their colleagues. Major emphasis is given to the development of sound research methods and the use of primary sources. Each student will be expected to produce a lengthy research paper of scholarly merit.
