This course combines theory and practice of learning and teaching science. Students learn selected principles of science compatible with the Curriculum Frameworks of Science by constructing their own understanding of them. Using differentiated instruction methodolgy for teaching science, students apply their own understanding about these principles to teaching elementary children and pre-school children with a variety of learning styles and abilities. Along with the field experiences, students will visit different institution types to observe science taught in different settings and to different age groups.
