    Weatherization Installer Certification Pre: Co: Upgrade your skills and learn about the latest techniques and materials for weatherizing existing homes to improve energy efficiency. This course will present a series of training modules on core competencies related to residential weatherization. Topics will include basic building science skills, insulation, air sealing, and safe work practices. Successful students will be qualified to work as professional air sealing technicians and insulation installers and be prepared to take the BPI Residental Building Envelope Whole House Air Leakage Control Installer Certification (WH-ALC). Class is held at the North Shore Vocational/Technical High School, Middleton, Massachusetts. CORI must be done at the Beverly Cummings Center location, (978) 236-1200 for directions.

    Conversational American Sign Language A beginning course for people who wish to learn Sign. Introduction to basic Sign principles and the cultural aspects of the deaf community are included through discussion and readings. Emphasis is on developing receptive ability and conversational practice. Upon completion of this course the student should be able to converse on a basic level with members of the deaf community. This course is appropriate to parents of hearing-impaired children, professionals, and interested citizens in the community. Textbook required.

    Conversational French 1 This course utilizes an informal approach to learning new languages. Courses are geared for people traveling abroad and for those people who wish to converse with spouses and friends who speak a language other than English. No previous French language experience is necessary.

    Conversational German I Pre: Co: Elect: This course is a beginner's "SURVIVAL" course in German for people with little or no background in the language. Through the use of videos, tapes and extensive classroom conversation we shall vicariously travel about the country learning to speak German as required by our situation: meeting people, expressing our wishes and concerns, shopping, eating out, making business appointments, seeking accommodations, etc. Bring $5 to the first class to pay for tapes and worksheets needed for home practice. A textbook (Guten Tag Student Text) is required from the College Bookstore.

    Conversational German 3 Pre: Co: Elect: German Three will be the logical continuation of Conversational German 1 & 2. Using the "Alles Gute" video series, we will continue to follow the adventures of Melanie, Max, Amalie and Martin in new and more complex situations. More emphasis will be placed on grammar and structure in this course. Students may enter the course who have completed Conversational German 1 & 2, or with the instructors permission. The Allus gute" Companion Guide and the Study Guide will be used as texts.
