Continuing Education For Insurance Agents & Brokers Massachusetts Law requires all agents and brokers licensed after April 1983, to acquire Continuing Education credits: 60 hours your initial 3 years, and 45 hours each additional 3 years. This course, INS 22, is one of three courses in the Program in General Insurance. In INS 22, Personal Lines, you will learn about personal loss exposures and the various kinds of insurance available to protect individuals and families from the financial consequences of personal losses. This course prepares you to pass the National Exam given by the Insurance Institute of America. Upon exam completion, you will be awarded 25 C.E. credits. If you choose not to sit for the exam and have attended all classroom sessions, you will be awarded 75% or 19 C.E. credits. This course has been approved by the Massachusetts State Division of Insurance. Text required.

International Marketing Workshop The beginning steps a company must endure before entering international markets entail developing a comprehensive country analysis. Basic country information is required and a company needs to evaluate a country's market potential identify problems that would eliminate a country from further consideration, and identify aspects of the country's environment that need further study. By putting together a country notebook, the people employed in international business can refer to the information in the notebook and use it to guide them through their decision lmaking process. The notebook includes four areas of market data. 1. Cultural Analysis, 2. Economic Analysis, 3. Market Audit and Competitive Analysis, 4. Preliminary Marketing Plan The Country Notebook is the focus of this International Marketing Workhop.

Pre-Press 4 Color Printing This practical course will provide background information on the key elements of electronic prepress and four color printing. By understanding the end process, the student will be better able to make their designs print successfully. The course covers scans, setting up a file properly in a page layout program, working with a color separator, color, trapping, bleeds, line screen, the printing process, film, proofs, press checks, and factors which affect quality. Pre-requisite: experience creating a file in a page layout program. Field trips and guest speakers included.

Introduction to Environmental Health Pre: Co: This ten-week course is designed to offer students a basic, yet comprehensive endeavor into the relationship between public health and environmental health. You will be introduced to fundamental principles required to obtain a wide variety of professional certificates. Readings and topics for discussion include disease transmission, water supplies, recreation areas, wastewater treatment, solid and hazardous waste management, vector control, radiological health, food quality control, housing, air quality and occupational health. Special emphasis will be placed on the State Sanitary Code and State Environmental Code. Textbook required available at the Danvers campus bookstore.
