Title 5: Septic System Basics for Construction and Real Estate Professionals In the summer of 1995, Title 5 of the State Environmental Code: Standard Requirements for the siting, construction, inspection, upgrade and expansion of one-site sewage treatment and disposal systems was revised. Because virtually every dwelling and commercial property serviced by a septic system may be affected by these regulations, homeowners, realtors, construction professionals, regulators and environmentalists need to know how these regulations apply to their jobs and investments. The course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of Title 5 by covering the following topics of the code in a practical manner: Basics of Septic System operation: Inspection Procedures; Construction Principles; Working with the Regulators. This course will prepare a student for a system installer's license.
