Video I; T.V. by Teachers Pre: Co: Elect: Create and produce your own lessons on video with special effects. This course will show you how to produce a video through simple production techniques. You will complete the course with a video that has your teaching style and ideas formulated in this time based medium. Work will be done in our fully equiped on campus T.V. Studio in Lynn. If you have a video camera, please bring it to class. (not required).

Teaching Cooperative/Manipulative Math Pre: Co: Elect: Earn 9 professional development points while enjoying this hands on math class for elementary school teachers. New math quidelines are asking for a "get up and do" approach to math that goes beyond cooperative learning. This course will help you set clear goals for your class and set those goals into actions that reinforce underdstanding. Ideas presented can be used with any text, or can show you how to teach without a text. For the first class bring a copy of your math curriculum or student math book. Other classes will have you working with crayons, caculators, cut and paste projects and your imagination.
