    Pagemaker on the MacIntosh: An Introduction Pre: Co: Elect: This course will take students through all the basic commands and controls of the PageMaker program. Topics covered will include setup procedures, graphic tools, importing graphics, text production, importing text and editing. Students will be able to bring in their own project for the last class. A knowledge of MacIntosh is necessary. A 3-1/2" inch disk is required. Class size limited to 15.

    Photo Restoration with Adobe Photoshop Pre: Co: Learn how to restore and preserve old family photos that are tattered and torn, or outdated negatives that have been sitting in a box. Using Adobe Photoshop CS3, learn how to scan in those images and negatives, use color correction, cloning, and alter the image to bring it back to an almost original state. Bring in your own images or negatives and learn what can be done to bring your old photos back to "good as new".

    Autocad 12: Advanced Pre: AutoCAD Introduction or equivalent Co: Elect: Continuation of topics presented in AutoCAD: An Introduction. Three dimensional drawing techniques are presented, including the use of user coordinate systems and controlling the 3-D display. Multiview layouts are presented and plotted. Use of a simple test editor for the creation of script file is employed to produce slide shows. Attributes are explained and demonstrated. The Advanced Modeling Extension is used to create solid models with primitives. Extensive use of the CAD workstation is employed.

These questions are answered in the six week course to introduce students to the basic operation of an IBM PC or compatible computer. The first three weeks will explain, DOS, DOS terms, how to copy files, how to use your computer more efficiently. The last three weeks will explain the Windows system. Both the technical side and the program side will be included. See the difference between DOS and Windows when using word processing, spreadsheet, data base etc. The type of disk needed will be discussed at the first meeting.
