    Lotus 1-2-3: An Introduction Pre: Co: Elect: Still the most popular spreadsheet program. Lotus is most often mentioned in employment advertisements. Here students will learn the basics of Lotus including formating, menus, formulas, database, graphing, printing, and creating macros. This introductory course is for beginners and teachs skills that are used with ALL Lotus versions and the Lotus for Windows program. All work is "hands-on" and at the end of the course students will also have a series of self-made files on disk that can be retrieved for later practice and review. The type of disk needed will be discussed at the first meeting.

    Wordperfect 5.1: An Introduction Pre: Co: Elect: Learn to create great looking documents using this popular word processor. The classes will cover the basics such as creating, revising & correcting, saving, retrieving, and printing. Text formating options including tabs, margins, bold, underline, and center will also be covered. Additional "fun" features will be introduced as time allows. Students may work independently using the computer labs between classes. Students must be able to use a keyboard and a 3.5" disk is required.

    Wordperfect 5.1: Intermediate Pre: Co: Elect: This six week course is a contination of the Word Perfect 5.1 introductory course. It will help the user with specific office or home tasks. After a brief review of the 5.1 command structure and common tasks, we will focus on such topics as merging, macros, text tables, sorting, styles labels for enveloped and mailing labels, etc. There will be time to practice new skills and to ask questions about parts of the program not being covered. Students must have a working knowledge of the Word Perfect 5.1 program. The type of disk students will have to purchase will be discussed at the first meeting. Limit 15.

Review available hardware along with instruction in the image processing software Adobe Photoshop Elements. Cover advanced topics such as filters and lenses, and special issues related to using SLR techniques in a digital environment.

This class will cover the basics of entering and editing text and working with files. Use the mouse and keyboard to access commands such as spell-check, fonts, tables, and columns. Other topics include merging, envelopes, and graphics. Students must have knowledge of the keyboard. This course is suitable for students without Wordperfect 5.1 experience as well as current 5.1 users who are interested in the powerful new features of Wordperfect 6.0.
