Artistic Comedy Are you ready to enter an adventurous world? Well then, respectable people put away all your dignified expressions and conservative slothes, come and dress up in gaudy costumes, hide behind a mask and escape to a magical place. In this practical, "hands-on'course, you will enjoy creating comic characters, experimenting with masks, while learning the art of improvisation in scenes studies. Together we'll bring to life the zany characters of the comedy dell'arte (artistic comedy). You'll have great fun reveling in the chaos! No experience necessary!!

Flowers of 1999O This class will provide an overview of flowering plants overlooked by many garden designers as well as an introduction to the new "specialty annuals" and "perennials" available for the year 1999. We will meet in Georgetown, MA for a tour of Nunan's Gardens & Greenhouses. Your instructor will provide an open- forum, walking tour of the nurseries with an in-depth look at the culture and care of these new arrivals. Students from NSCC will be given a one day discount on all merchandise today as we will be creatively designing an outdoor window box for display. Materials for a completed basic window box will start at $22 and increase in range depending upon your choices.

Pre: Co: Elect: MIME & MELODY: Have you ever seen a mime create an illusion? Then we need you to register for this ten-week course - because a mime is a terrrible thing to waste! We will be using music as the medium for creating modern skits, and we'll pay close attention to each individual. The course will end with a presentation for friends and relatives. Wear comfortable clothing, because mime is movement, and you must be free to move. Class limited to 12 student, ages 11-14.

Pre: Co: Elect: MUSICAL THEATRE REVUE: Would you like toknow how to really "deliver" a song in a musical production? This class will involve the voice, acting and movement techniques leading up to a musical production at the end of the session. If you're willing to explore your musical potential even if you haven't had much acting or singing experience - then this class will help you develop as a performer! Bring some sheet music/songs that interest yoiu to class. Ages 12-14.

Pre: Co: Elect: MUSICAL THEATRE REVUE 2: For Junior High Students, this second-level class will continue the development of the voice, proper song delivery, correct ways to move on stage, and, most importantly, how to sing well with others. Students with appropriate experience may register - even if they have not taken a theater class before. There will be a presentation at the last class. Wear comfortable clothing. Ages 11 and older. No younger students may register without permission of the instructor.

Mother's Day Flower Show & Luncheon If you love flowers, we have a treat for you! Our floral designers will show you the lovely art of "flower arrang- ing", how to purchase and assemble your own "garden plant baskets", and, new "gift idea" for Mother's Day, birthdays, and special occasions. You may even take a few arrangements home if your name is picked in one of the several free drawings! N.S.C.C. staff will be available to talk to you about our flexible, new 1997 "one year certificate program" in Floral Design; offering beginning fresh flower arranging to advanced classes for florists looking for new ideas. Flower and plant exhibitions will begin at 11 AM - 12 noon and we will break for a one hour luncheon. Flower design demostrations and gift ideas will resume until 2:00 PM when gift arrangement will be given away to several lucky people - one might be you! Register your mom for this one day event. Free parking. P.S. Gentlemen and non-mon's are welcome too! Show and Luncheon $33 per person.

Winter Horticulture Gardeners and horticultural enthusiasts will enjoy this class on winter horticulture to include "timely" indoor and outdoor gardening chores for the winter season. Included will be pruning techniques, winter protection in the Northeast, dormant season sprays, how to include fall and winter colors into your garden, houseplant culture, growing and forcing indoor bulbs and attracting birds into your winter garden.

Scene Study for Adults will give students an opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in a relaxed non-threatening setting. Everyday Horticulture-Part 1 Pre: Co: Gardeners, homeowners, and landscape designers will greatly benefit from this lecture series with an in-depth look into the natural world of horticulture. Our open forum discussion will focus on home planning, landscapes, and design tips. Explore your favorite perennials, ornamental grasses, annuals, bulbs, flowering shrubs, roses, various types of lawns, and groundcovers. One class in "backyard diagnostics" provides solutions to commonly encountered insect and/or disease problems.
