    Pre: Co: Elect: LOW-IMPACT AEROBICS: Would you like to get in shape? This 1 1/2 hour session will include a thirty-minute low-impact segment,upper body work, and a "tone and trim" portion for waist, addomen, and legs! If you own wrist or ankle weights, please bring them to class. All fitness levels are welcome, as modifications will be made based on student needs. Wear comfortbale, loose clothing, light-colored soled sneakers, and bring a mat or large towel.

    Understanding Color in Landscape Design Pre: Co: This course will draw you into the garden and show you how colors work together to create different moods and sensations. By looking at color in landscapes in the world around you, and in the works of master painters, you will see how art borrows it's hues from nature. We'll explore the color schemes that appealed to painters from Turner to Monet and Van Gogh. The garden palette will help you create and implement innovative and effective color schemes of your own. Textbook required, available at the Danvers campus bookstore.

    Pre: Co: Elect: DRAWING IN ANY MEDIUM: The principles of drawing can be taught with more than just a pencil! Students with a prefrence for brush and ink, charcoal, pastels, etc. are cordially invited to register. We will use the imagination to master such basic concepts as line, volume, mass, movement, and the connection of light and shadow. We will also be concerned with philosophical questions as that which you hope to accomplish. Please bring a drawing pad and your choice of media to class and learn how to use them imaginatively! Limited to 12 adults.

    Country Western Couples Dancing This is an easy-to-learn, fun dance style introducing the basics of Country Western, 2-step couples dancing with its fun turns and twirls, then the simple ease of the Country Waltz and last but not least the energetic footwork of the East Coast Swing Dance. Please wear comfortable leather sole shoes and join us for the new trend in country dancing.

    Plant Health Care - The Basics Pre: Co: Understanding how and why plants grow, and the problems they encounter, will help you to manage your landscape plants. Proper planting, pruning, soil amendments and insect and disease suppression are all pieces in the puzzle of plant stewardship. These topics, plus other aspects of plant culture will be covered during this 7-week course. All materials provided.

    Designing with Roses, Shrubs and Bulbs Pre: Co: A practical introduction to the art of combining some of the "bones" of good garden design. Structure, texture and bloom will be examined, as will the practical requirements of each plant. Learn how to plan and plant the best combinations, from classic favorites to innovative alternatives, creating imaginative and visually effective displays for each season.     Wildflowe Wreaths & Swags Wildflowers, seasonal dried botanicals, unusual grasses, seed heads, pods and dry flowers in a variety of colors are included. These are "one-of-a-kind", large scale projects completed to measure 16-18" (grapevine base) wreath and 26" pine board swag. Our last project, a 12" oval, sister wreath, will compliment both projects. Bring a glue gun, glue sticks and a large shopping bag. Students should reimburse the instructor $15 per project per week for floral supplies. If you love dried flowers and crafting, you'll enjoy this class.

    Pre: Co: Elect: JAZZ-A-CISE: Have fun while getting fit. Jazz-a-cise starts with slow, easy jazz moves as a warm-up, gradually leads up to full tempe with creative exercises for trimming down and toning up, then slows to a cool down. All of this is put to popular music. Whether you are a beginner or have been exercising for years, then Jazz-a-cise is for you! Wear comfortable, loose clothing or dance leotard as well as sneakers or jazz shoes. Students should also bring a mat or large towel to each class. Class limited to 20 students.

    Advanced Photography This course is for those who have a basic knowledge of photography, but would like to explore more advanced techniques such as: multiple exposure, long exposure, flash balanching, metering, bracketing, and lighting of people and objects. We will be shooting mistily slides, so there's not much darkroom work here, folks. Regular critiques and slide shows will allow us to learn from each other. A 35 mm SLR is required for this course 9preferably one with a manul exposure mode) and knowledge of basic camera skills.

    Drawing the Spirit Within One day workshop where your eyes and senses will guide you beyond traditional concepts of portraiture to distinguish individual essences. Experiment with the techniques of rendering with color and style. Bring your favorite tools: pencils, charcoal, pastels or paints, and large paper.
