    Pre: Co: Elect: CREATING A WORLD WITH CLAY: The sky's the limit with what you can create from clay! Do you like to make things with your hands? Well in this class you will be taught how to make all sorts of bowls, cups, boxes, plates or whatever creatures, clowns, animals, or castles your imagination can think of. You will also learn how to glaze your pieces. Bring in a plastic container for water and a smock. Class limited to 12 students. ages 8-12.

    Pre: Co: Elect: PUPPETRY & MORE: Using characters from a famous story, we will have a wonderful time making hand-held puppets-acting out our tale in a real puppet show! We will improve our creations little by little, and even paint some scenery. Then comes lots of practice on our play-until the big day arrives when we entertain members of our family. We won't do Punch & Judy, but we will have punch and cookies. Materials and supplies will be provided by the instructor. Class limited to 8 students, ages 6-8.

    Pre: Co: Elect: PAINTING WITH WATERCOLOR: This six-week course for beginners and intermediate will include instruction in compostion, techniques of painting, mixing watercolors, and methods of using brushes. Subject matter will include still life and flowers. Please bring to the first class D'Arches cold-pressed 140lb. paper 12" x 15", or larger, pad; round #2 pencil; and one roll of masking tape, 1/2-"1" in width. A list of additional materials to purchase will be given at the first class. Class limited to 15 students.

    Pre: Co: Elect: DECORATING WITH MACRAME: It's "not" difficult to create beautiful and decorative wall hangings using the ancient craft of macrame. By learning a few simple knots and combining interesting fibers, beads, hoops and hanging materials, students will be able to make home decorations, wreaths and holiday decorations. Students will also learn how to read and follow patterns as well as create original designs. Bring 50 yards of 6mm macrame cord, a 2" ring and scissors to class-other supplies will be discussed at the first meeting. Class limited to 20 students.

    Pastels: Drawing with Color Pre: Co: Oil pastel is a spontaneous medium that thrives on the direct application of color. Both traditional and experimental approaches will be encouraged. Color relationships, value, and composition will be studied through still life, landscape, and figure drawing. A live model will be provided during the last two weeks of class. A $10 model fee per week is payable to the instructor during the weeks the model is used. Open to all skill levels.

    Experimenting With Watercolors Pre: Co: Elect: A course for beginners and intermediate students which will include composition, mixing colors, the painting process, and experimenting with various watercolor techniques. This course will emphasize putting creative, personal ideas on paper. Intermediate students should bring the supplies they already have to class. Beginners should bring an inexpensive drawing paper to the first class. Materials to be purchased will be discussed during the first class. Class limited to 15 students.
