    Kissing Balls Workshop Pre: Co: Elect: Learn the art of creating traditional "kissing balls" for the holidays using fresh holiday greens of either boxwood or balsam complimented with festive velvet ribbon and a variety of colorful Christmas mini floral pics. Bring your cutters and scissors to class. All supplies will be distributed during the workshop through reinbursement to the instructor ($14.00 per person).

    Pre: Co: Elect: This course is designed to reduce the number of common problems that occur when photographing children, and simplify the process to create photographs which capture the "natural spirit" of children. We will focus on the visual considerations, i.e. (camera angles, location, backgrounds, etc.) and techniques we use to gain cooperation from children, technical information and suggestions on finishing the final portrait (coping, matting, etc.) Students should be thinking of any recurring problems they may be having. We will review these problems and other concrete solutions.

    Pre: Co: Elect: Capturing the play at the plate, a save in goal, or the pass reception by your wide receiver can be a little easier this season. Handling low light and fast action will be the central focus of this course. Two field trips will provide practical application for the skills discussed during the first classroom session. The remaining two classes will be for critique, and discussion of problems faced during shooting. An adjustable automatic or manual 35 mm camera is necessary. Limited to 12 students with transportation.

Join our lively group of crafters & designers and make some very lovely keepsakes for you or yours. Materials fee is $8.00 per week, payable to the instructor during the first class.

    Pre: Co: Elect: MUSIC AND COMPUTER WORKSHOP: Sharpen your theory and ear training skills, play your compositions, or explore music performance possibilities - all with the Apple IIe computer! This workshop will provide individually tailored exercises in music fundamentals, an introduction to programming the Apple IIe to play music, and a survey of available music software (programs) and hardware (equipment). Each student will have his/her own computer.

    Spring Florals & Craftmaking Enjoy color coordinating and decorating your home with springtime floral arrangements and a lovely variety of crafts. Learn the trade techniques and skills involved in creating wreaths, centerpieces wall ornaments and door decorations. Dried flower materials of statice, eucalptus and baby's breath, roadside botanicals, selected silks, fresh flowers, ribbons and lace are all included. Scissors and hot glue gun required. A $15 weekly supply fee is payable to the instructor in class.

    35MM Photography - Level 2 Pre:35mm-Level 1 or a working knowledge of camera skill. Co: Elect: This is a second level, 35mm photography course for individuals who wish to learn and study the visual elements of composition and the techniques for shooting photographs that may be looked at as "works of art". You may bring previously taken slide photographs to class for discussion. Weekly assignments will be given. We will explore and explain choosing appropriate lenses, film types and filters as well as how to use your flash creatively.

    Pre: Co: Elect: Night-time cityscapes or skyline photos can be easier than you think. Outdoor, night photography, using available light can produce some dramatic scenes. An adjustable, 35mm single lens reflex camera, and a tripod are necessary for this course. There will be two nights of classroom instruction and discussion and three group field trips - weather permitting.
