Using beautiful specialty papers and simple techniques, each participant will create a unique and personal book. No experience necessary.     Nature Prints Workshop Pre: Co: Use both dried and fresh plants, and other materials from nature, to make individualized nature prints. Create cards, stationery, wrapping paper, and prints for framing. A materials fee of $10 is payable to the instructor at the first class.

    Magical Herbs for Winter Celebration Pre: Co: Holly, ivy, mistletoe, the Yule log, the fir tree--all are magical and sacred symbols associated with celebrations of light as winter sets in, and we prepare for the dark time of the year. Learn some of the ancient myths, beliefs, and uses of the herbs that helped people move through this time and make sacred connections. Look at Christian, Jewish, Druidic, and Pagan Christian customs.

    Make a Holiday Wreath Pre: Co: Make a beautiful wreath to hang on your door or use as a centerpiece on your table (a small hanger on back lets you do either!) using fresh and dried greens, seed stalks, pine cones, nuts, faux berries and leaves, cinnamon sticks, and more. This wreath is a lovely way to bring the energy of the season into your home. Bring a glue gun (preferably one with a trigger), plenty of glue sticks, and a box to carry home your creation. All other materials are provided. This is a really fun, creative way to connect with the plant energies of the season and bring them into your living space. A $6 materials fee is payable to he instructor in class.

    Mixed Metal Cuff Bracelet Workshop Pre: Co: Design a unique and funky mixed metal cuff bracelet using brass, copper and silver sheet. Learn how to manipulate metal by cutting, shaping, filing and polishing. Create interesting texture using design stamps, and chasing tools. Finally, learn how to rivet your bracelet and shape it into an elegant cuff you'll be proud to wear, or give as a gift. All tools provided in class. A fee of $35 is payable to the instructor in class for materials.

    Drawing Critique Workshop This workshop is designed for students with previous drawing experience. The aim of the workshop is to build on fundamental drawing skills and help students develop individual themes to work on. Students need to bring five to ten drawings to each session for class discussion. Demonstration on using line in mono-printing and working with texture will be given. Please bring all drawing materials and sketchbooks to class. Classes on June 19 & July 17.

    The Casserole Basket Pre: Co: The "Casserole Basket" is approximately 10" x 14" with an attached wooden handle--a great beginner basket because of its stable bottom. The finished basket is accented by blue, green or red reed. Please bring a 5-gallon bucket for water, a ruler, pencil, and sharp scissors or cutters. Additional materials cost of $28 is payable to the instructor at the first class.

    The Sewing Basket Pre: Co: The "Sewing Basket" makes a great gift. It measures 8" x 16" and is woven on a "D" handle with two dowels drilled through the middle of the handle. A tape measure woven around the sides is the finishing touch. Please bring a 5-gallon bucket for water, a ruler, pencil, and sharp scissors or cutters. Materials cost is $18, payable to instructor at the first class.

    The Wine Basket Pre: Co: The "Wine Basket" is a traditional reed basket measuring 5" x 9" x 14", woven using a stop/start technique. The basket has a wooden swinging handle and holds two wine bottles. Please bring a 5-gallon bucket for water, a ruler, pencil and sharp scissors or cutters. Additional materials cost is $18, payable to instructor at the first class.
