    Fingerstyle Guitar I Pre: Co: Elect: This course is designed to show students how to integrate simple bass runs, basic fingerpicking patterns, minor leads, hammer ons and slides into their current playing style while maintaining a steady sense of rhythm and timing. You will develop stronger independent finger dexterity to give your songs a smoother polish from start to finish. New rhythm patters, dueting, understanding tablature, introduction to barre chords and the many effective uses of the capo are incorporated. Instructor will contact each enrolled student.

    Advanced Painting Pre: Co: Bring your paint box and roll up your sleeves! If you love and want to develop your portfolio, whether you are an abstract, still-life, or figure painter, develop the projects you are working on while contributing to the group dynamic. Each class will build on technical issues you will then apply and experiment with in your own work. One class will be devoted to creating a disk with your images. Open to acrylics, watercolor, and water-based oil mediums.

    Easy Songs for Guitar Pre: Co: Elect: This class is for guitar players that already know some easy songs and are looking to use more interesting strum patterns, finger picking patterns or a mix of both. We will explore songs of the 60's, children's songs, holiday songs, classic hits and others you may wish to bring to class. Beginners welcome but should know basic chords and be willing to learn new ones. A tape of songs will be available for purchase in class, so you will have a reference to play from on you own. .

    Easing Into Guitar with Private Sessions Pre: Co: Elect: Students registering for Easing into Guitar 1 with "private sessions" will have the added opportunity to work with the instructor one-on-one after class to help with each student's individual needs in areas of difficulty. In addition to the class, there will be 4 private sessions which will be mutually decided upon between student and instructor.

    New! Figure Drawing and Painting Pre: Co: Work from dressed models for six weeks, building on basic anatomy drawing skills and then to painting. The informal class is open to all skill levels. The only requirement is an interest in painting the human form. Models will be from different age groups and genders to give ample opportunity to examine different human forms. A $35 model fee is payable to the instructor at the first class.

    Guitar Songbook Pre: Co: Elect: As a guitarist you are learning all the time. The more you play, the more you'll improve. Whether you're learning to play folk ballads, country, children's songs or popular music-you are all welcome. We will exchange songs, learn from other guitarists (guest artists) find new ways to play old tunes in addition to an array of new ones. Bring your notes & songbooks. Reading skills not required.     Easing into Guitar II Pre: Co: Elect: Have you taken Easing into Guitar or a similar class? This follow-up is for people who know at least a handful of chords and some of the basics. We will explore an array of strumming techniques, learn to read musical notation, tablature, and have fun playing around with some folk, blues styles, pop and classic hits from 60's, 70's and 80's! Limited 10 12 teenagers/adults with acoustic guitars. Come and continue your musical studies in a supportive setting!
